Self-knowledge is the only remedy for sufferings. Self-knowledge is the easiest thing there is! Have Atmagnyana (Self-knowledge) first and then see God. When the Atman itself cannot be seen, how can Sarveswara be seen? Seeing God is to give the mind itself as food to Atman.

Gurus can be had by hundreds and thousands. Everybody is anxious to be a Master. How many are there who would care to be disciples? For the teaching of divine truths, Adesh is the one thing needful. Without Adesh thou wouldst be asserting thyself and thinking, ‘I teach.’ He who thinks his spiritual guide a mere man cannot make much progress in the spiritual life.
